Dip Coating
IAS has a broad range of experience designing and building Dip Coating systems in a variety of industries. Our equipment is adapted from existing designs to leverage our implementations and make them successful. We also apply knowledge gained from our Automation Group to further enhance the system designed for our customers, which includes firms based across the US and 12 other countries around the world.
Applying conformal coating using a dip process has the advantages of high throughput, low cost, and minimal floor space. This type of application method lends itself well to products which have been designed specifically with this process in mind in order to minimize secondary operations such as masking and mask removal. Products are typically attached to a tooling bar with an engineered fixture designed to retain a product throughout the process, minimize undesirable contact points, and reduce or eliminate cured product removal tasks. Overall this method offers the highest throughput of any application method.
Our Dip Coating Systems offer extensive options and features including the following:
- Automated or Manual Load and Unload
- Semi-custom systems – IAS will work with your needs
- Self contained and monitored
- Integrated coverage inspection systems
- Curing via UV, Convection, IR, and others
